Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 11:00 PM PDT on July 3, 2008

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude..

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently
downgraded Tropical Depression Boris...centered about 1390 miles
west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California...and has
issued the last advisory on dissipating Tropical Depression
Douglas...located about 155 miles south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas
Mexico. For additional information on the remnants of Douglas...
please see high seas forecasts issued by the National Weather
Service...under AWIPS header nfdhsfepi and WMO header fzpn02 kwbc.

Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low
pressure located a few hundred miles south of the Gulf of
Tehuantepec remain limited and disorganized. Environmental
conditions now appear to be less conducive for tropical cyclone
formation during the next 48 hours...as the system moves slowly
toward the west-northwest or northwest.

Elsewhere...tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the
next 48 hours.
